General Patreaus(?): "We need to get Draconian"...Huh?
Edited on Tue Apr-28-09 02:09 PM by vaberella
I didn't get the name of the General on CNN...he was the one involved in Katrina. He's crazy. I mean the swine flu has spread and affected so many people.

He's talking about "the honor system is ineffective" and that if people are sick or think their sick we need to have them stay home and if they leave home they will get "prison" or fined. <--- Something of that nature. He's talking about punishment for infecting people. I'm like, how feasible is that to even think it's possible.

He also said that we need to stop flights since the planes are incubators. I agree their incubators but the CDC said it's done and spread all over the world. Containing is hard. He's talking about destroying the Mexican economy even more and possibly this causing world problems. But the sort of talk he's discussing reminds me of the measures the military took in the film Outbreak. You know where they quarantine a town and basically block out any connection in order maintain. But the shit is airborne and I don't see how feasible it is to even lock down human contact and the spread.

Man...in any event, his statements actually scared more than anything else.
