This torture thing must be big if they are pulling these kinds of strings? What's next? Scalia resigning? :think:

As for Arlen, well, Arlen's Arlen. Not the worst Republican ever. Likely far from the best Democrat ever.

It's an interesting political move. It's interesting and contained. Most of us are not distracted from any other issue, including Bush-administration complicity and guilt on torturing.

Also I am not distracted by food, although we are about to sit down to some excellent pasta and salad. At its most delicious, pasta is unlikely to fake me out and I fully expect to rise upon the dawn as relatively informed on current events as I am prior to the first bite.

Cold beer will also be served and consumed in moderation.

This past weekend we also listened to HOME AGAIN, Judy Collins' under-rated album from many moons back. Splendid collection of tunes.

This weekend ahead we get to dog-sit Holy Redeemer, a close friend's pooch. Holy Redeemer is supposed to get dry dog food and no table scraps but deeply appreciates it when we slather his chow with gravy.
