Is the Republican party that we knew in 2000-2008 dead?
I mean, I am thinking of Karl Rove, and his 2006 math, and Bush, the last of the Republican leadership over the last 8 years......totally inept.

I am beginning to think that the Republican party will never launch another Presidential candidate in 2012, simply because they weill not have 20% of the vote, nor will have enough money to have a national convention to select between Newt Gingrich and Sarah Palin.

That's the state of affairs in the Republican party today...........talk me down.

15. Well I think while the Republican Party was more moderate than today...
The Reagan Revolution was just taking over and that's where this current ilk emerged from during the late 80s and the entire 90s.

Ronald Reagan died in 2004 and his ideology is finally dying in 2009.

government checks ... but married with anti-abortion, torture, Christian wackos .... .

10. A good idea, a third party, but it would have to be as
rational and intellectual and forward thinking.......

Maybe this is the time for a Green Party

I am still voting OBama in 2012......unless he is on life support in some hostpital somewhere.

8. Rich people have all the money and the Clown Party is the party of rich people.
I don't think rich people are going anywhere, so neither is the Clown Party.

They may give it a different name, but it will represented by the same clowns.

12. Maybe there are 2 million rich in the USA.......at least
a few of them are smart enough to figure out that Bush was a disaster for both them and every other American.

I think only the selfish, idiotic, non-voting rich are around now.

If I had 50 million, I would NOT put a penny on a Republican candidate.......I would keep my money

17. I sure hope it is.........
a group of fifth graders could run the country better than the republicans. Their party base is nothing but a bunch of old people who are soon to die off, and then what's left? Neo-Nazi's and Fundie Christian nut jobs? I certainly do hope they are dead and stay dead, the country is better off without them.

18. What with Bachman, Limbaugh, Rove, etc... talking like they do to invigourate the
base...they still have that 20 percent so they are a danger. more than 50 percent of the population fell for the "no taxes" junk a decade or two ago so why couldn't it happen again?

19. Congratulations.....

That coma you've been in for the last couple of months must have been scary for your family, but I am very glad to welcome you back from it.

By the way, while you were out, yes, the GOP died.

20. The Republican Party needs to be a center-right party... not what it is now, a far-right party.
