17,000 new troops are on their way in to Afghanistan and we are stuck in Iraq.

Feel sorry for the troops. They think they are doing us a favor.

with putting a size 12 US boot up the ass of an enemy of the US... but wtf are they doing there now?

At a minimum... they should be holed up in their secure bases only to come out to respond to a specific request from the Iraqi government and even those kind of strikes should be done with drones.

I know that I haven't forgotten. We have a memorial to the American soldiers in our yard and our local peace group holds vigil twice a week. We have been doing this since December 2005.
