1. why won't people be home?
I put all the debates on my calendar months ago. I won't miss them for anything. I know it is a Friday night, perhaps I will have a few friends in to drink beer and watch with me. We could play drinking games--everytime * makes a fool of himself, take a shot.

3. thanks.
I had completely forgotten about that. So most people will probably not see the debates (unless they set their VCRs) all they will get is the media spin. That certainly does not perk up my spirits. We must WIN this thing and the media has not been a reliable friend.

5. Why should the media cover for people's disinterest
Sorry, but if the media shows the debates on the day they are conducted it's done it's job.

If people don't want to set aside their plans on a Friday night, the media is under no obligation to cover for the people's laziness or disinterest.

6. Hi newyawker99!
I have been around for a long time, but I have never joined or posted before. I probably won't be a big poster, I am someone who prefers to see what everyone else is saying and I don't often feel that I have much to add myself. But I do enjoy coming here and for some reason I just felt like participating all of a sudden! I don't know if I will do it a lot though, I am not really in the habit of doing this. I do appreciate all the intelligent posts that I read here. And I appreciate you--newyawker99--I know that you always go out of your way to welcome newbies. Thank you--it really does mean a lot.
