He's an absolute disgrace!!

ANYONE else for our leader but him!!

I almost hope he loses in November except we need every single seat to take back the Senate.

But I really cannot stand this man.

1. Yes, and take Terry McCauliffe with him
Get two new leaders with two balls each, not two balls for both of them combined.

3. Will he ever step down without losing an election?
He might be a great Senator for the people of his state, but he is horrible for the Democratic Party.

The fact that he didn't step down after the 2002 mess shows that he probably cares more about his power than his party.

5. Are you SURE you wouldn't rather post this on RepublicanUnderground.com?
Oh wait - that doesn't exist.

So who would you rather have: a "leader" like his challenger and main threat, Republican John Thune?

Get the skinny here (from http://www.tomdaschle.com/)

Get real. For South Dakota, Tom Daschle is as good as a Democrat can get. And he's good enough for me - in the SD context.

Don't follow the mob in the WH - SUPPORT TOM DASCHLE.

for him to step down as the minority leader.

I know he is responsible for no one in the senate signing the house's grievance during the 2000 selection.

And it hurt my eyes when he did his hump hug to smirk after his 9-11 speech. I guess that was the SOTU speech. But he had to think of his wife since she is a part of the airline lobby!

Is there anyway we could get him replaced as the leader?

He did nothing to help during the 2002 elections, I guess he's happy with the status quo.

7. Did you see F 9/11?
Disgusting how he told Congress they should support Chimpy's illegal war.

Maybe he is better than his opponent but NO WAY should he be Senate "leader".

He is a disgrace. Especially after critizing Kerry voting against the 87 billion.

We need a new leader.

10. Who you calling lice?
Are you calling me lice, just because I haven't donated to DU yet?

I happen to be unemployed and don't have a lot of funds at the present time, but that doesn't mean that I am Lice.

I can barely make my car payment, but I am still a thoughtful person.

I don't think Daschle should drop out of the race all I said is he needs to be replaced as the senate leader. There are a lot better people who could do that job.

As soon as I can come up with a little extra cash i plan on donating to DU, but doesn't DU have a policy of not attacking people.

I believe I read that before signing up...

13. Your right
It's against the board rules to call out or attack fellow board members, but there is no policy against backhanded attempts to do so. If a member is not directly addressing another member then everything is ok apparently. I'm sure you get the drift.

11. SCREW Daschle.
I HATE that guy. HE is what is wrong with our party AND our country. I've had enough of the DINO bullshit and the undermining of our principles.

FUCK OFF, TOM!

14. I see you prefer another Sen seat go Republican...
But if you really think Daschle = Miller, where do you draw the line?

Why not toss Kerry out too?

...

Don't you think there's a difference between Daschle and Miller? (and Lieberman too - speaking of an Elephant Man posing as an ass!)

15. YEAH, because he's bringing down the whole freakin' party.
Edited on Mon Sep-20-04 02:29 AM by BullGooseLoony
When assholes like this guy go around saying things like "Kerry shouldn't have voted against the $87B," it hurts everyone.

What a selfish (and cowardly) piece of shit.

16. Here's a bit from today's e-mail from Anne Lewis (DSCC)
The pertinent thing:
******************************************************
South Dakota Republicans: Recycle Here
******************************************************

I always thought conservatives were averse to the importance of
recycling. But, when it comes to campaign tricks, they deserve a
green star.

Just one year after 9/11, the Republicans compared Vietnam War
hero Senator Max Cleland, who lost 3 limbs volunteering for
service to his nation, to Osama bin Laden in a campaign ad. They
recycled that same smear against Senator Tim Johnson and now,
using it again to try and tear down another veteran, Senator Tom
Daschle. Some South Dakota veterans have called on Republican
candidate John Thune to call for his state party chairman's
resignation. This comes after he wrote a letter saying that
Daschle had "brought comfort to our enemies."(1) The veterans
have it right: Thune should step up to his patriotic plate and
take some responsibility for his surrogates' remarks. But when
Tim Russert gave him the chance to do so on Meet the Press,
Thune instead went one step further than the Republican attack
machine and said that Tom Daschle "emboldens the enemy."(2) I
can't think of anything more emboldening to America's enemies
than ripping apart one U.S. veteran after another.

THAT is the crap Tom Daschle has to deal with "at home."

SD is no Kellifohnya... Even if he's not ideal, he's WAY better than another Rovebot.
