Why is there a statue of Reagan?
Are there statues of every former president? A deceased one, like Ford, for example? or Truman?

14. because the republicans who commissioned it have a reagan fetish.
They're stuck in the past and love the 80's more than VH1.

Edited on Sat Jun-06-09 03:02 AM by Blue_In_AK
that Jeremy Scahill said something about Reagan's statue being pulled down like the statue of Saddam Hussein was. Seemed like an appropriate comment to me. Or was it DL who said that? It was a quick passing comment, but I liked it.

20. DL said it. Ronald Reagan said some of the most insensitive things than any POTUS in recent memory.
Every now and then someone will give me a Reagan quote and I'll have to look it up just to make sure he said it. The man really didn't seem to care about poor people at all.

But u bring his name up to a Republican and their face just lights up. They love the guy. I know Obama hated to sign that Reagan thing he signed last wk.

21. There is a group that wants monuments to Reagan in every county.
Its alright with me as long as they are placed in the county dog parks... where they can be appropriately "marked" on a daily basis.
