Any reviews on Obama's D-Day speech??????????????
I missed it. I know it wasn't as powerful as his memorial day speech. Or was it?

3. Everyone loved it except the lunatic fringe of the right wing
Senator Inhoffe in particular who said it was unAmerican and he wondered whose side Obama was on.

4. Really? I know Inhoffe didn't like the Cairo speech
but he didn't like the D-Day one either? Damn.

7. They have their talking points
and they're sticking to them. I can tell him that President Obama is not on the side of Greedy, Obfuscatin' Polluters.

6. I only caught the last part. It was good. All his speeches were good. But not
ground breaking or awesome.

It was a commemorative speech, not a speech meant to set up a policy or inspiration path, like the Cairo speech. The other leaders there also gave speeches.

9. It was appropriately subdued. Some will call that "weak" or something.
But he was the "junior" among this group of world leaders.

And it was not "his" day or "his" speech.

Appropriately, it was subdued, he didn't outshine the others and he didn't try to "score major points".

Which makes it pitch perfect, IMO.

:patriot:
