Reuters: "British Envoy to Italy Stirs Waters with Bush Barb"

ROME (Reuters) - Britain's ambassador to Italy has called President Bush (news - web sites) "the best recruiting sergeant" for al Qaeda, Italian media reported Monday.

The comment, made at a closed-door conference at the weekend, was denounced by one leading Italian newspaper editor, who issued an open letter snubbing the veteran ambassador, Sir Ivor Roberts.

Roberts was quoted as telling an annual Anglo-Italian gathering in Tuscany: "If anyone is ready to celebrate the eventual re-election of Bush, it's al Qaeda."

With all due respect to John Edwards, we need to counter the ridiculous statements being made by people like Cheney and Hastert with more than simply calling it dirty politics. This is the message that needs to get out there.

demand this...that you OBEY the will of GOD. Bush has made himself the nx best thing to God by announcing he talks with HIM.


What Bush doesn't say is if God responds back to him. We have not seen evidence of THAT.

In most cases of GOP hypocrisy, I will be the first to admit that I would react the same way if it was a Dem. But in this case, I can honestly say that I really would pull my support for the moron. He's an actual danger to the nation and the world, and no amount of party affiliation should affect that.
