Funny Commercial to Get Out and Vote!
Some friends of ours in Oakland have put together a funny commercial to get people out to vote. They are raising money to air it in swing states. So far they have raised about half the money. Can you help them out? Check out the commercial below and pass it on.

Hey you! Yeah, YOU! Want to affect the outcome of this election but you don't live in a "battleground" state?

Help us get the couch potatoes off the couch and to the polls!

A 30 second commercial on late night Comedy Central only costs about $150. YOU CAN HAVE AN IMPACT!

1) Watch our humorous ad that will be shown in the swing state of Colorado this week. The ad entitled "Email" motivates young people to get to the polls.

Low band width Quick Time click here:

2) Donate to buy additional ad time. Our goal is to raise $4,000 by Tuesday, Sept. 21 to buy 40 more ad spots on VH1, MTV and Comedy Central in CO between Sept. 23 - Sept. 30.

Donate here https://www.hammeringtheissues.org/donate.aspx

3) Forward this email to your friends!

Young people ages 18-24 have historically low election turn out. Colorado has a lot of them. The last day to register to vote in CO is October 4th! Let's get them to the polls to get this well-meaning, narrow-minded, paternalistic, ignorant man out of office!!!!

Here's a short blurb on us.
What? HammeringTheIssues.org - an Oakland based nonprofit getting out the vote with funny cable TV commercials.

Where? Swing states.

Who? This first ad is targeted to college age non-voters. We are happy to produce additional ads in partnership with other folks for other demographics as well.

Why? Funny ads are fun, politics are not. Late night cable TV ad time is cheap and non-voters watch a lot of TV.

Thanks!!! This is the final PUSH!! This country is divided but MOST eligible citizens are not even registered or won't bother to vote. When these folks do vote, they vote democrat. We need to motivate THESE people now!
