Good PA Poll coming?
So I was told by a Kerry campaign official. I don't know when it's being released, or how they got advance word of it.

2. I can't count the times when someone has said something similar.
And the event never happened. Someone with inside knowledge says that something "big" is going to happen soon, or a good this is coming, or something big will happen to hurt *'s chances......

I don't recall any of it ever coming true. And of course, what someone calls "big" may be nothing to another person. One such "big" event could have been the Plame investigation starting, but I didn't consider that big. I figured it would have no effect on Bush's numbers, although not be helpful to him.

I take the attitude now that I'll just wait & see what happens, with no expectations. (But geez, can I help but look for new PA numbers coming out?)

4. Well I'll see the person tomorrow.
So if it doesn't happen, I can call bullshit.

I ain't getting too worked up about it either way. It's just useful for judging dynamics.

6. Bush made up a 9 point deficit in 3 days? Doubtful.
That's an outlier if ever there was one. Last Friday it was Kerry 52 Bush 43, according to American Research Group.

Ignore this SUSA poll.

St. Louis Post Dispatch has it at Kerry by 15%. Survey USA seems out of whack!

19. no way
there is not a chance in hell that kerry lost 16 points in NM in 2 days. Zogby has him up by 12.4% today, and then tomorrow he's down 4%. Don't follow them. Just get out there and campaign no matter what. We would be campaigning just as hard if Kerry were up 10% in all battlegrounds, so let's just keep going. Remember, don't let the fear tactics scare you.

21. Once again, with feeling, the polls after 9/1/04 are no longer accurate
measurements because they only count people who have voted in the last 4 presidential elections, and don't include peoplel with cell phones.

No young people are being polled. No newly registered voters are being polled. If you voted in 92 and 96 and didn't vote in 2000, you're not counted.

It's not an accurate measure by any account. The fact that Kerry is polling even under these limitations is actually great news for Democrats.

Remember, Bush was leading by 10 points before election day in 2000, by this same restrictive polls.

The polling BEFORE 9/1/04 did include registered voters, regardless of voting likelihood. Kerry's numbers went down immediately after the Republican convention because that's when the polling demographics changed.
