Who to boycott? CNN or MSNBC
Edited on Mon Sep-20-04 07:53 PM by Nimble_Idea
If all democrats and liberals boycott one of them, and all switch to the other, ONE of them will go down. They won't have enough people watching them to pay the costs of operation. It won't be a good business and the puke boss will have to pull the plug. What do you think?

Which one?

I say we flush CNN. We can then deal with MSNBC on our terms, because they will know that they are on the chopping block next.

Enough of the Puke Media spewing the Puke talking points.

It's been too obvious that these pukes have been spitting lies and other foul crap. They spent two weeks attacking Kerry, aiding the swift boat liars and giving them massive amounts of free air time. The whole time, they didn't bother discrediting the liars but echoed the lies and continued to do so day in and day out. John Kerry was the SUBJECT of the swift boat liars. Then all of a sudden when some memos come out, they are somehow "THE STORY" and never once attack shrub. SHRUB was NOT the story.

It's time to cut one off, CNN or MSNBC. So
Which one is it?

9. CNN
It's already being done.

MSNBC has begun to see the light. That's why their ratings are up and CNN's are down.

I refuse to watch FOX or CNN, I will only watch MSNBC. I'm rewarding them for Olbermann. And for Tweety's "good week".

10. I've already given up on both

So my two cents don't count for much. I would be happier if CNN were to go. I'm sick of all of 'em - AOL, Time, and Warner. Then later we can help send the micro-GE network either packing or to the other side. It doesn't really matter since they all spout the same corporate lies.

What really needs to happen is Democrats getting into media the way the Repubs have, but smarter. We have to face facts that we were asleep while the other side was busy setting up its mouthpieces all over the country.

This is why AAR is so important. One big advantage we have is that so many highly talented and creative people are moderate to liberal in their politics. They may have more outlets, but we kick ass in the talent department. Our media must not only be political, it must be far more engaging, funny, irreverent, and downright entertaining than theirs. That's how we'll win the media war.

11. no, we must go after CNN--they are the biggest hypocrites
with their "most trusted name in News" BS

MSNBC--well, everybody knows where they're coming from.

However, I don't see why we should limit it. Why not call it a Corporate News boycott? That way you could zero in on the real problem, corporate ownership of the news, and get ABC in there too-- ABC is a huge whore.

Edited on Mon Sep-20-04 08:01 PM by Nimble_Idea
If we all just DUMP CNN and just Switch in droves to MSNBC, we can tank CNN as a pure loser.

The only reason I would watch CNN is paul and carville, but BOTH can easily leave that lame place after it sinks and be in the Kerry Admin.

I agree, let's dump CNN.

17. it's better to make one stronger, and take one down
that way, you can get rid of one. If you let them just both stay there, it won't do any good. We have to get fellow Dems and Libs to FLUSH CNN.

It's better to make one stronger, and the other so weak it tanks.
That kind of showing won't go unnoticed and MSNBC will have to take care of it audience, or bye bye as well. Look at it in this way, it's better, you can't take out both at the same time, it just won't work.

FLUSH CNN

wasted time, i think not. It's worth a shot to flush cnn.
Any effort to see a puke outlet go down, is no wasted effort by no means.

23. They both have us by our gonads...
Too bad we get mostly state propaganda but I switch between CNN and MSNBC. Sometimes Chris Matthews is right on. One just has to realize that all news is mostly filtered and condensed into out-of-context soundbites and go from there. I have a dozen foreign newspapers bookmarked...thank God I can leave the USA on the world-wide web and get other viewpoints. But I fear the average disinterested voter will be swayed by our major media. Look at all of the FREE time they all gave to the Swift Boat Vets.

BTW, after showing a five second soundbite of Nader dissing the Democrats, CNN announced that Nader will be guesting on Lou Dobbs later today.

24. I stopped punishing myself
I don't watch either. I forgot Kerry was speaking and when it hit me that he was on I stopped at the first channel showing him,MSNBC. I unfortunately stayed with them after the speech to her some woman from Shrub/Porchopbut 04' on and it quickly reminded me about why I do not listen to that crap anymore.

27. the question i have is...
how are they doing ratings these days? is it still via Nielsen box or is there some newfangled method of figuring out what channel your cable box is on? (i'm presuming the latter, especially with digital cable)
