ROVE IS THE PROBLEM..WHERE'S THE DIRT ON HIM?
Bush is just the puppet. It is rove's brain that moves the strings and tells him to listen to the Neocons. He is behind the smears. HE is the one with the Attack machine. Whre is the dirt on Rove? Where is the outrage on Rove !

1. Sounds good
BUT - we don't have enough time. Going after Rove would be a distraction at this point and not worth the effort, unfortunately.

9. There was a protest at his house last year and heard he ran like a bunny
He will pay..I am sure of that.....the whole bunch will. You can only do this sort of thing for so long and then you pay. With your life or in the afterlife but one cannot dish this kind of dirt and there be no retribution.

5. The story is all over

But the trouble is, Rove is only despised by those who understand enough to know he's the biggest problem.

Rove was caught stealing stationery from an opponent's headquarters and writing a fake letter inviting vagrants and other questionable people to the fellow's first campaign rally. Karl apologized and it was glossed over as a "prank."

Since that one mishap, Karl Rove has become a master at leaving no fingerprints. He learned the black art of political dirty tricks from Donald Segretti and Lee Atwater, both of whom are well-known for having no problem with lying and stealing to win an election.

Roger Ailes was cut from the same cloth. Democrats tried to make an issue of him when they ran against Reagan and Bush. We lost both.

Lastly, swing voters are not like us. Most don't pay much attention to newspapers, blogs, magazines, or much else except maybe Oprah or Friends. To them Karl Rove - evil as he is - is a non-issue, and I really wish that weren't true.

On edit: tried to improve clarity

That's why I am so afraid for this country's future -- nobody pays attention. It's our nightmare, and the GOP's delight.

19. So true.
I started posting on DU in January 2004. For about two months prior to that, I started reading books like Al Franken's "Lies," Molly Ivins' "Bushwhacked," etc.

Prior to late 2003, I had no idea who Karl Rove was. Now I do.

There's too much power in the Bush cabal for Rove to EVER experience more than a reprimand. It's just another counter-productive fantasy to even think that he will pay for the lives he's ruined.

In the afterlife, yes. In this lifetime, no...just more dirty tricks, more rewards, more English muffins with extra butter.

18. I think Karen Hughes
is just as bad.

Bush calls her back when he is in trouble. She writes his speeches, directs his appearances and she appears ruthless.

What is it with these rabid Republican women? Matlan, Hughes, Coulter,Inghram? I like strong women, like Ann Richards but these ladies are terminators. Yuk

Edited on Tue Sep-21-04 07:34 AM by DoYouEverWonder

Roger and Nydia Stone

There is a ton of stuff here. Roger and Rove meet in college. They both are directly connected to Lee Atwater. Atwater worked for Roger!

They are possibly connected to giving Bill Burkett the 'doctored' docs.

I've got to get to work, so who ever is into this sort of thing, start googling. There's even sex and the National Enquirer.

26. He's connected to Bob Dole too.
Edited on Tue Sep-21-04 07:53 AM by in_cog_ni_to
SOMEONE else in this saga was connected to Dole. Who was it? Do you remember? Was it Buckhead? If so, Stone and Buckhead could be connected too...through Dole.

on edit..

More on Al Sharpton and GOP hit man Roger Stone

The Tampa Tribune adds some detail to the Village Voice's investigation of the relationship between Al Sharpton's campaign and long-time Republican dirty-trickster Roger Stone. The Voice discovered that Sharpton's campaign is largely funded and run by Stone and a coterie of Republican strategists, and the Tribune identifies some additional Sharpton-Gop ties as well as fleshing out the nature of Roger Stone.
Stone, who once laughingly called himself the ``prince of darkness'' for political tricks, was an operative for Richard Nixon's Watergate-tainted Committee to Re-elect the President. He since has served prominent people including Ronald Reagan, Oliver North and Bob Dole.

27. Put him with Buckhead (McDougall) Ken Starr's Buddy and you got it
Buckhead has refused to talk to the Atlanta Journal. Guess they will have to catch him on FR. Hours after 60 minutes Buckhead is making headlines, including this morning on B-Span as being called an Atlanta businessman. They called Al Capone a businesman too didn't they? They did not mention the man worked with Ken Starr, drew up the papers for Clinton not to practice in AK. Bob Barr, and Newt are known to this guy including the whole GOP machinery.
I still think the GOP attack dogs are right here in Ga.

I think they both might be connected to Dole's 1996 campaign.
