John Kerry should play some acoustic guitar on Letterman..
ala Clinton on Arsenio Hall 1992. Have Paul Schaeffer's band back him up nicely, and get lots of airtime on the morning news shows. The guitar is a musical instrument that appeals to a huge spectrum of people. He wouldn't even need the sunglasses. MKJ

2. Maybe, but this would be better
He should dance to Jamiroquai's "Canned Heat" like Napoleon Dynamite. God that would own.

11. Sorry, but...
The image of Kerry dancing scares me. At 6'4'' I doubt he's the most graceful guy. :D

3. LOL, thanks for the laugh...maybe "Truckin" would satisfy the
middle of road folks..

although, he could dedicate the "Dueling Banjos" theme song, from Deliverance, to his opponent...

4. disagree
this isn't the campaigns of '92, '96, or '00... It wouldn't look good to be playing around with music instruments when soldiers are getting killed in Iraq and civilians are getting beheaded.

7. Music is universal, something that people turn to...
in times of anguish...Kerry could show his human side, particularly if he picked an expressive piece. It would also display his creative talents, of which GWB has none. MKJ

9. He'd be better off beating a war drum.
This is not 1992.

12. well, they already taped the show...
it's taped at 6pm at the Ed Sullivan theatre in New York. I'm shocked that Sludge doesn't have the "inside scoop" on what happened. Guess they kept it pretty hushed up. Cross your fingers that he gets some positive press out of this for once.
