1. It really does, doesn't it?
I also love the look they get on their face, like they didn't expect you to get assertive on them. :toast: Good for you!

4. This guy was going on about how unladylike Theresa
is. How only a low-life pig would talk that way. And its not appropriate for a first lady.

So I just told him to Shove It. And it felt good!

6. Good job.
I wish I had thought of that. I was at the grocery store yesterday and there was a guy out front with a table and a big sign, "Register As A Republican Here" and "Switch Your Registration To Republican Here". He was accosting everyone as they went in and out and he asked me, "Are you registered?"

I said, "Registered Democrat and I wouldn't vote for your guy if he was running for dog catcher!" Got some laughs (this is a liberal area and I can't imagine his business has been brisk) then I went in and complained to the store manager.

7. Instead of just saying "no"
We should all just say "shove it"

Theresa needs to know we are supporting her for being a "woman of spunk"

8. I did the same thing myself a couple times this week
I get so sick of listening to the mentally ill rant the Limbaugh chant.

I hate the way they ask a question and then shout over the top of the answer that is being given.

Assholes, one and all.

9. That's really it, isn't it?
Yeah; the other side seems much more intent on parroting rhetoric than they are in satisfying their intellectual curiosity.

Liberal: "showing or characterized by broad-mindedness; "a broad political stance"; "generous and broad sympathies"; "a liberal newspaper"; "tolerant of his opponent's opinions"

Conservative:"resistant to change 2: opposed to liberal reforms 3: avoiding excess; "a conservative estimate" 4: unimaginatively conventional;"

Which would you choose?

10. Liberal of course.
oddly, I heard a commentary on NPR last night where the orator was attempting to prove the point that Republicans were inclusive and broad minded and the Democrats were intolerant.

Kind of ass backwards

Like the Strom Thrumond brand of intolerant? The Tom Delay brand of intolerant? Man...

16. That is my observation as well.
The republicans can hardly stand any disagreement. They are quick to question patriotism in that regard.

That is why it was shocking to hear it on NPR. It seems like the republi-Klan is making donations to influence content. It sounded like a Faux broadcast.

How about the Jessee Helms brand of intolerant

11. Great line, in case you run across rabid repugs...
Edited on Tue Sep-21-04 11:10 AM by faithfulcitizen
While out campaigning (in Indiana) we run across a lot of freeper-types and when all else falls, we just say "I'M GLAD YOU ARE A REPUBLICAN." It's fairly polite, and ALWAYS works! :D

p.s. you could also add- "Now, I don't have to change my opinion".

13. I was at work last night running a game..
on the AM station. I was bored to tears, so I was watching Olbermann. The cleaning lady came in and noticed that I was watching MSNBC. She asked me why I wasn't watching Fox News. I told her that I never watch them because they're too far right for me.
Her eyes narrowed and she said in a low voice, "I guess you're a Democrat."

"You bet your life", I said.

"So you're voting for Kerry?"

"Yes, who else? I have K/E stickers on my vehicles and signs all over my yard."

"Oh really! Well, isn't it nice that we live in a country where you can vote for Kerry and I can vote for Bush?"

I said, "Yes, it is; but please don't key my car on your way out tonight."

She didn't laugh.

18. There are so many people brainwashed by FAUX
and the like, that it is impossible to explain how voting for * is not in their best interest. If Kerry wins, the battle continues, this is just the beginning.

23. heh.....i got mean today too....
check this out:

"I’ve heard ELSEWHERE sincere, well-articulated opposition to the war. I can respect those who feel we should have let UN inspectors say they completed their work. "

you're full of shit. when i took this tack with you, supporting my stance on the war, just a few months ago, you retorted with childish comments about the UN and racist comments about france, and bravado about how the UN isn't our boss.

you can make this a partisan issue (again) if you'd like, but again:

this President LIED about his plans to go to war, this President LIED about the reasons for going to this war and this president has LIED about the catastrophic success this war has been.

so you can keep focusing on clinton's dick if you wish, but there are a lot more of us focusing on what's going on in Iraq.
