2004 Recount fund - oh, boy!
I just got an e-mail from the Kerry campaign asking for donations for their "Recount Fund." Well, at least they're going to be prepared for the ugly that is coming.

2. There was a story last week that Kerry-Edwards04 met with the FEC
to determine how to legally fund a recount effort....

You know, I've been living the past four years for November 2. Unfortunately, as in 2000, we may again have to suffer through weeks of uncertainty, dirty tricks, hand-wringing, and general misery.

3. and just how does one recount votes cast on touch screen machines?
with no paper trail, all you can do is have the machine regurgitate the results it has already produced . . . seems like a waste of time to me . . .

5. I agree, we need to get back to people voting in person
and a paper trail to back it up. how about a duplex poling card that gives you a record of what you voted and a unique # so you can make sure your vote is counted the way you want it?
