Kerry needs to demand NO Fox moderators. Outfoxed proves bias
The Reupblicans are trying to oust any moderators from CBS and most of the CBS gang is Republican. Dan Rather's (don't know his political affiliation) reporting was neutral. The evidence was out years ago. The interviews were accurate and genuine news. The truth of the memos was verified by Killian's secretary. The memos themselves were the only thing that were questionable and Dan Rather presented the facts on that too.

1. What's the point though?
If the CBS group is Republican, then why do we care if they aren't allowed?

We know Faux News has no credibility.

But we also know that no matter what Kerry does, he is screwed here.

If he demands no Faux moderators, then the Reich Wing can just say that Kerry is afraid of "real journalists". Faux would love that shit.

Besides, every single moderator who is selected for these debates will kiss Bush's ass. You know that.

4. There are so many ho's out there I am not sure it matters
If a snarky question or nasty comment comes from Peter Jennings or Ted Koppel, it's "objective" and "mainstream" so it must be right, and Kerry must be as bad as they make him seem.

If a snarky question or nasty comment comes from Fox, it's easily dismissed as "Fox" -- biased, snarky, nasty -- and thus having less bearing on opinion about Kerry.

(Just a theory, I don't really know!)

8. It's not about revenge. It's about fair debates and no loaded questions

Why did Theresa marry you after the rotten way you treated your first wife, Mr. Kerry? After you flip-flopped on the war....

That is the kind of stuff I would expect from the Fox gang.

12. No I just mean he can fight them if need be.
"Why don't you ask the President if...."

I hear ya... but I'm just saying that right now Kerry looks great willing to debate anyone, any where. GWB looks silly trying to get out of them.

As for revenge, I mean making their press access very limited in the new administration, or restricting them as one would "tabloid journalism."

6. I think the moderators
are from PBS and ABC.

The VP debate and 2 of the 3 Presidential debates are PBS.

9. I thought the moderators had already
been picked. Did that change? Last I heard they were Charles Gibson, Bob Shieffer and Jim Lehrer and also Gwen Ifil for the VP debate.

20. Let Jesse Ventura do it
Not only does he have the political clout, but he's also unemployed (no XFL anymore) and he can get in the faces of anybody else (moderator or otherwise) who gets uppity...
