Rasmussen Battleground for 9/21 (Very Good News)
Edited on Tue Sep-21-04 03:35 PM by louis c
The national numbers are unchanged from yesterday, down to the tenth of a percent. Bush 48% to Kerry 45%, margin of 2.8%. With leaners, Bush's lead is down to 4 tenths of one percent (.4%). Also, the update of the Electoral Vote Projection has gone from Bush 213-Kerry 189 this morning to Bush 213-Kerry 204 this afternoon.

http://www.rasmussenreports.com

The change in the four battleground states for the Premium Site has shown the most one day improvement for Kerry in weeks. These are seven day tracking numbers.

Florida, Kerry 49%-48% (this is the first Kerry lead in 9 days, and is a 3 point jump from yesterday); Michigan, Kerry 48%-44% (this is the 7th day in a row that Kerry has led, and a 1 point improvement from yesterday); Ohio, Bush 48%-45% (this marks the 5th day in a row of identical numbers); Pennsylvania, Kerry 48%-46% (this is the first Kerry lead in 10 days, and is a 3 point increase from yesterday). North Carolina has been dropped from the battleground, daily tracking and will be replaced by Minnesota by Friday.

3. New Jersey is in the once a week category,
However, I'll go back in and see what the change was from this morning. Stay tuned.

6. You're correct
New Jersey went from 50%-46% Kerry a week ago to 49%-44% Kerry, Monday.

Rasmussen didn't make the update until this afternoon.

For those that are interested, a state has to have a margin of 5 points or more to move into a candidate's column or it is considered a toss-up state.

10. According to Rasmussen

If the election were held today, and you assigned states to either of the candidates, who led today, regardless of the amount of the lead, the numbers would be Kerry 269--Bush 264 with New Mexico dead even with 5 EV.

I know these numbers don't mean much today, but it shows how close this race really is, and anyone who tries to say otherwise is full of shit.

So much for the Bush 10 point lead.

11. Arkansas is exactly tied in the 9/20 Zogby poll!!!
BUT, on electoral-vote.com, it says he rounded the #s off and Kerry is ahead by "a fraction".

12. we are coming back baby!
Coming back like a mofo, that's it! You can really tell that Kerry is energized now, and we are coming back in states that there isn't much currently direct campaigning in now (FL and AR). Keep it up!

13. Those numbers absolutely win for Kerry if they're right.
Penn and Florida, we win, easy. Even without Iowa.

15. Maybe the FL numbers will be even better tomorrow.
There's a huge Kerry/Edwards rally in Orlando tonight. It's being held at the basketball arena. Both candidates are supposed to be there.
