2. Burkett's got an uphill battle to prove defamation of character.

Plus, he's going to have to get real specific about those documents, should he choose to sue CBS.

The discovery phase of the suit would be very interesting, I'd think.

CBS came to him and Rather agreed. This isn't going to be good. I feel sorry for Burkett. He is not well.

I believe with all my heart that Burkett is part of the Republican machine. Why else would he want to meet with a Kerry advisor before the CBS story aired? I believe that it's only so that Kerry's name would be connected to this fiasco.

9. Rove and CBS both screwed Burkett

CBS went to Burkett and made promises that they then proceeeded to break. His lawyer put out a statement earlier, but I can't find it right now.

Burkett is an elderly, honest, career military vet and thanks to Rove, everyone wants to bash him or screw him. Nice trick.
