Bush Dismisses Gloomy CIA Report on Iraq

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nm/20040921/ts_nm/un_bush_cia_dc&cid=564&ncid=1480

NEW YORK (Reuters) - President Bush (news - web sites), determined to put an optimistic face on deadly conditions in Iraq (news - web sites), said on Tuesday that the CIA (news - web sites) was just guessing when it said the war-racked country was in danger of slipping into civil war.

--snip--

Can you say OUT OF TOUCH?!? Just when Kerry is pounding him for living in a fantasy world and not being honest w/ the public about Iraq, he goes and says this. He really is stupid. This story made my day, he's playing right into Kerry's hands.

1. I have often wondered the same. He is so far off I can't see how he expect
s to win. It is fun to watch though.

8. Today has been, in one word, incredible!
New polls showing Kerry edging ahead in key battleground states, Kerry's new kick-ass articulation of his Iraq position, great coverage from Letterman & Regis, Bush addressing a stone-silent UN.. it's been quite a nice day!

4. He is so stupid he doesn't have clue
Edited on Tue Sep-21-04 05:22 PM by Marianne
probably can't wait until his speech is over so he can go home and imbibe.

He is only repeating what someone else has given him, By now, this idiot has probably realized that he is not the real president, althouh I think in the beginning he really thought, in his simple mind, that he was going to be the president.

All of them, George, Laura and the twins have been manufactured and are merely playing roles assigned to them. Someone else is the real president and it has got to be a blow to the spoiled little Dauphine, George. If challenged, he does not have a clue abouot any of the issues. He is merely repeating verbatim what he has been given by someone else. He cannot understand what he has been handed but merely repeats it withou any sense of what it means.

He is too stupid to do otherwise.

7. This is the most insane sentence!
"The American people have seen horrible scenes on our TV screens. And the prime minister will be able to say to them that in spite of the sacrifices being made, in spite of the fact that Iraqis are dying, and U.S. troops are dying as well, that there is a will among the Iraqi people to succeed."

9. He's So Fucking Stupid, Is He Speaking Off the Cuff???
I can't believe the person who wrote that for him still has a job. He's NOT supposed to remind everyone of all the deaths!

Yes, the Iraqi people have a will to succeed; to succeed at kicking the US out of their country.

of course his steadfast faith! Bush has never lost a debate! Kerry has his work cut out for him and is definitely the underdog in the debates!

16. Bush cannot admit that he is ever wrong.
A few months ago at one of his rare press conferences, a reporter asked Bush what he considered his greatest mistake to be. Bush just stood there, dumbstruck for several seconds. The camera panned over his handlers, sitting in the front row looking worried: Condi, Rove, and others. Then Bush said that he had not been expecting such a question, and that he couldn't think of any mistakes offhand.

Then he turned and walked slowly away, looking ever so defeated. I thought it was of his worst performances ever, and I was surprised that the news commentators didn't make more of it. But then at that time I didn't realize how their bosses had instructed them not to belittle the president, who was doing so much to enrich the wealthy at the expense of the rest of us.

So it is no surprise to me that Bush dismisses any bad news that he doesn't care to hear, such as the recent CIA assessment of Iraq.

Well, at least we won't have to worry about CIA "guesses" anymore. The Boners undoubtedly will have a firm grip on the "truth."

18. This is what happens to Bush when he actually works hard....
He's been putting in some fairly long hours campaigning, and its taking a
toll! He's getting to that point he gets to where he can barely speak a
coherent sentence.

It makes you realize how much they had him 'tanned and rested' for the
convention. But he will not be able to rest much before the debates.

And yes, he wants to lose.

19. I havet to reply just to get this kicked for the title
It's so damn refreshing to hear Shrubscum being criticized as a loser instead of Kerry.

Bush=hear no evil see no evil

But I really think he thinks that is the way to win,and why? cause he's an ideolgical pighead.
