3. I am not joking about rubbing them with Poison ivy leaves. The oil will
cause a poison ivy rash. Should be easy to spot who did it.

8. But think about it. The oil from the leaves stays on their hands, gets
on anything they touch so they re-apply every time they touch, for instance, their steering wheel. Should drive them crazy, and the rash itches like a MFer. Consider it the gift that keeps on giving.

12. huh?

The only point I"m trying to make is that there may be a way of preventing someone from taking the sign out of one's yard. Why get so bizarre?

15. Start a spider web or bee colony on it.
Maybe some barber wire?, home made. Tiny pieces of broken glass shards glued to the sign?

17. Real Support for Our Troops
Did anyone see this yet???

Its a Blue Ribbon basically in response to the Yellow Ribbons you see on almost every car lately... What's your opinion. i think its worth a look.

This is from their website: www.troopsribbon.com

Why we did this
Like the majority of citizens in this country, in light of the fact that over 1000 troops have been killed in battle, the most appropriate way to support our troops is to bring them home as soon as possible. Our troops should be out of harms way back in the United States with their families. The death of American forces should and can be avoided.

In addition, for many of us the yellow "Support our Troops" ribbon does not accurately represent the generalized feeling of Americans to support soldiers at war. Over the course of the past year, a need for an additional voice has become clear. There is room for a new message.

Our goal is to create an alternative and supporting voice. Yes we support our troops, but simply put, we want our loved ones home as soon as possible. We created the Blue Ribbon to voice this opinion.

7. I rubbed lard (Crisco) on the white part of the outside of the Kerry/
Edwards sign in my yard and covered the lard with cayenne pepper...

If they steal it they will at the very least have gooey red smeared hands....if touch eyes they get what they deserve.

21. I've got extra K/E stickers, sent to me by the campaign
I got 10 in all for donating. I've got two on my car and gave away 3 to my parents to put on their cars and the rest I gave to friends, but I held on to two for extras in case anyone decided to vandalize my car. I'm armed and ready for the bastards!

22. I read a curious post a few days ago. A group was canvassing and
knocked on the door of a house that had numerous K/E signs in the yard. The person answering the door said he was a Bush supporter. The canvassers then asked to speak with the K/E supporter that lived there. They were told that no one there supported K/E - the signs were just a joke. Could it be some kind of game Bushies are playing...see how many K/E signs you can steal & prove it by putting them in your yard?

24. Charlotte not a "Republican stronghold"
Very white collar city. Tidy, Zurich-like banking town. Swing city -- 51% Bush in 2000.

Gastonia NC, the western suburb of Charlotte, now there's a Republican stronghold. Depressing place. White trash former mill town... everyone there works on the strip now, at Wal-Marts and Winn Dixies and Piggly Wigglies catering to Charlotte exurbanites.

As you go further west of Charlotte you run into mill towns (McAdenville, Bessemer City, Kings Mountain, Shelby, out towards Asheville) and things even out a bit.

NW NC (Piedmont Tobacco area, NW of the I-80 corridor) is solidly Republican. NE (Tidewater and the Research Triangle/Raleigh end of the I-80) is solidly Democratic. The I-80 corridor between Charlotte and Raleigh is all swing cities. Central NC (below the I-80 corridor; mostly pine barrens) is solidly Republican. Southeast NC along the SC border (the flattest part of the state, cotton & hog country) is mostly Democratic due to larger number of black people. The corridor of mill towns and furniture towns between Charlotte and Asheville NC varies. Asheville area of the Great Smokies is traditionally Democratic.

So there. :-)
