Because many people have doubts about him already. This will reinforce all those uneasy feelings that they have been restraining for months and months now. Unless there is some resolution, or they are able to stick it to the Democrats, this daily questioning of Bush's NG service is not doing a service for Mr Bush. And CBS will continue to report it as a story, even though they are the heavy in the plot. If Roger Stone is shown to be somehow connected to this little "trick", then it could be very damaging to the Bush campaign, in my opinion.

1. I respectfully disagree UNLESS
somehow, someway concete evidence presents itself tying the right wing to this mess. They are bending over backwards to tie Kerry to it and the longer it stays in the media, the more it HELPS *. Makes it look as if KERRY is behind it or at least the Dems, poor poor boy king! Everyone picking on him. How LOW will the Dems stoop, etc.

Solid evdience of right wing involvement has to be found.

2. Yes..this constant bombardment of "did the repubs do this"? is great!
I mean almost every story now (except on fox) brings to light at least the slight possibility of a republican implant. This is how the 'liberal media' and other myths got started...by it just being mentioned all the time...the longer this stays, with the question 'was a republican involved?', the better!

4. I Agree With You, Kentuck.
These bastards in the White House are getting very quiet now on the Burkett / Rather thing.

Watch a retreat quickly.

5. It helps Kerry if:
Viewers are reminded of the rank hypocrisy of Rather should be fired for story based on fake documents vs. Bush wants to be reelected despite war based on fake documents and faulty intelligence.

6. Indeed...
It's perfect because it forces them to apply their own standard to themselves. SOMEBODY should be trumpeting this point... Maybe not Kerry, but how about Terry McAuliffe? Dean?
