bush/cheney campaign team in chaos, tailspin, losing it
The small bounce is gone (if there ever was a real one)

There is nothing for */cheney to be proud of

Each day brings worse gop poll numbers

Rovian tricks backfiring

* team players silenced with nothing to say

*, rumsfield, cheney, twisting words . . . mealy mouthed, and having trouble keeping names, faces . . . LIES straight

GOP senators jumping ship and secretly giving thumbs up to anyone "anti-bush"

Frenzied, attack mode by gop cable pundits, advisers, and drug addicts

* campaign becoming silent, reorganizing, on the defensive

Fear not working . . . must . . .use. . terra . . .alert. . .more

Kerry Team catching stride, finding voice, truth, and listeners

Kerry / Edwards looking more hopeful, respected, and honest by the hour

Kerry = Open, honest, smart, open minded, balanced
Bush = Secret, dishonest, ignorant, stubborn, extreme

yes, the * team is in trouble, sinking fast, with only the swift boat lies to latch onto

* - it must suck to be you

1. Would be nice if he did. My new word is this
My son tells me about half the people he works with plan to vote for Bush. He said the lady next door is also. She Said we must be safe. I guess these people think things are now safer. Maybe taking Dover Del. off the front page has worked? But it was years before Nam got to people so this may be the same.

2. I may be auspiciously noted here...
That Andrew "Captain Bareback" Sullivan, Topical Testosterone Gel poster boy and generally no friend of Dems, is grudgingly not for Da' Chimp and sorta kinda for Kerry. For the finest in tortured sophistry and weasel-word parlour tricks, read his blog.

Proof of something. Of what, I ain't sure.

6. Hegel and Lugar
haven't endorsed Kerry but are telling the truth about Iraq. And Powell isn't toeing the B-C line any more.

4. The worst case scenario could be this
The Bush team really knows how to win an election, through deceit, lies, treachery, and fear as well as skill and focus.

But they can't run the country.

That's the worst of all worlds.

5. here's a great flip that flopped
From the Mercury News,
"Forty-three days before the election," Bush said, "my opponent has now suddenly settled on a proposal for what to do next, and it's exactly what we're currently doing."

... Although Bush said Kerry's Iraq proposals mirrored his own, his campaign put out a strongly worded - and contradictory - statement. "John Kerry's latest position on Iraq is to advocate retreat and defeat in the face of terror," said spokesman Steve Schmidt.

7. There seems to be some sorta change in the last 24. Even ATC
was calling Chimpy on his Sh#*. Played tape of Chimpy saying Kerry wanted SH in power, then played real Kerry statement. Very interesting. Even McCain, (Sec'y. Of state in waiting) saying Chimpy wrong on Iraq. HMMM

12. Neocon Public Relations (NPR) today featured Renee Montaigne
interviewing advisors to both the Kerry and Bush campaigns, yet she interrupted and continually hammered the Kerry aide asking for specifics regarding Kerry's war on terror, then let the Bush aide slide with statements like "President Bush wants to make the world safe for democracy."

Even Frank DeFord, only as much of a bombastic windbag as he is an imbecile, came up with stupid little sports analogies (such as they were) that mostly derided the Democrats and repackaged Right Wing talking points. Utterly fucking disgusting.

15. I gotta tell ya they convinced me.
I watched FOX today.

Pretty scary...they lined up 10 well known liberal reporters and shot them in the nutsacks with small caliber pistols.

As the liberals were lying on the floor writhing in pain...the conservatives started pissing on the reporters, while the FOX guys chanted: We are not biased....you are, you are.

16. NPR did the same this morning - "What Senator Kerry actually said . . . "
And then gave the actual quote from yesterday that Bush was citing as "proof" of Kerry supporting Saddam still in power.

I thought I'd awakened in the parallel universe where Spock has a beard . . .

20. The Republicans Know that a Bush 2nd term
would mean a coupe of decades in the wilderness for their party. Iraq will turn to SHIT, we haven't seen anything yet. If Bush has a second term the blame will fall entirely on the GOP. They will loose the House & Senate and they will have great trouble convincing people to vote for another Republican president. If on the other hand Kerry is President when it all goes pear shaped (again the current quagmire is just a prelude) then, even though bush and his loony right wing enablers deserve all the blame, some blame will inevitably fall on Kerry & the Dems.

The Bushies and their loony PNAC buddies still believe they can make their fantasies reality, but the rest of the GOP is pragmatic enough to see that a Kerry victory is actually in their best interests.

Of course even if Kerry is going to get splattered with some of Bush's mess and even if that means the GOP will (once again) not have to take full responsibility for it's mistakes, we'll still be light years better off with the Chimperor sent back to Texas or Connecticut or Maine or St. Helena or where ever.
