DNC Calls out the RNC on Forged Docs!

McAuliffe: Will GOP Answer If They Know Whether Stone, Others Had Involvement With CBS Documents?

Washington, D.C. - In response to false Republican accusations regarding the CBS documents, Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe issued this statement:

In today's New York Post, Roger Stone, who became associated with political dirty tricks while working for Nixon, refused to deny that he was the source the CBS documents.

Will Ed Gillespie or the White House admit today what they know about Mr. Stone's relationship with these forged documents? Will they unequivocally rule out Mr. Stone's involvement? Or for that matter, others with a known history of dirty tricks, such as Karl Rove or Ralph Reed??

3. will this be vindication
For me and all others who suggested that although the docs could be legit, they could be forgeries anyway?

And further, for me and all others who suggested it could be a Rove project?

5. Yeah, but will the media report it?
I've seen Ed Gillespie's little bs fest of accusations on every news channel and newscast I've watched in the past 2 days. I haven't seen McAuliffe's response anywhere but here.

6. Yeah, don't count on it...
If it is a real story, then all the news outlets will go into CCA (Cover Chimpy's Ass) mode and will not mention it. Boy, I sure would like to see some Rethug operative go down for this. I know it's too much to ask for it to be Rove, but I'll take "close".

7. What about the forged docs that got us into the war in Iraq?
Down the memory hole? They need to hammer on that too.

8. We need to...
demand Dan's firing just to keep the heat on. We don't need his old school ass anyway. Imagine if he were wrongly fired. Now that would be sweet!

9. What would that accomplish?
I'd much more like to see Karl Rove in the unemployment line.

13. It would make him the scapegoat
and it'd be the end of the story.

I'd rather see the person really responsible held accountable, rather than the guy who was duped.

15. Hmmm,...so, is it save to assume that Terry actually has the goods,...
,...on this, or what?

On the other hand, the the NYP story proves to be "unsupported",...will they go down with Rather?

16. Hear me out,
If they fire Dan now only to find that he was RIGHT would do a lot for us. Imagine the apologies. He's retiring soon anyway, it would be like taking one for the team. It would also make it harder to come down so hard the next time. There would be a lot of benefits.
