I just found it an interesting choice of words. And earlier in the column he tells of the charges that 41 was less than heroic when "shot down" in WWII that Dukasis campaign had the honor not to chase unlike the SBVL. So is the paragraph below laying out what the pundits heard about W in 2000? H'mmmm
