Bush*'s media "air war" vs our "ground war".
The media recently cranked it up a notch in their pro-Bush & anti-Kerry stance. Scanning magazines, newspapers, cable TV, radio "news" (I don't bother with Fox, I know where they are) I see an increased use of Bush* campaign and staff being spoon fed with questions and and a corresponding increase in negativity towards Kerry. Some of it is subtle headlines, phrases sprinkled through articles and unquestionable bias in putting Bush* on the front page and Kerry on page 10 or 15. I can't give you all the specific examples, but the tone of someone like Kelly Wallace in describing where Bush* and Kerry stand on taxes is an example. She said the "SeNNator" in a very snide way when talking about Kerry's plans. The wall to wall use of Bush* people (Bartlett and the other slime) is over the top in the CBS story. Another specific example here in Johnstown PA was where Edwards had a smashingly good rally to a full house and 90% of the 11 PM news covering it was interviews with 11 Bush* people with signs outside the arena. Standing in line for the event, we were all talking about Bush*'s "air war" with his media and that they are shooting all those missiles around but we are going to sneak up on them and win it with our "ground war".

1. In the "ground war", my mission Saturday will be to canvas
White County, Arkansas. I am so looking forward to doing it.

5. Yes, I was always a Dem - just a "complacent" one
meaning, I did not really pay attention and never became active.

8. Hello, soulmate!!
:) Do you sometimes wish you hadn't become "activated"? Sometimes, I really wish I was stupid and just didn't know what is really going on. Then again, I'm very happy that I am - because I intend to fight with all I can to keep our American values and way of life.

A salesman came to our office the other day and I was looking at the electoral map. He was joking with me. I told him that I wished it was a joking matter with me - and I told him how strongly I feel about all this. I told him that, if the election goes the wrong way, I think I will become an activist. He laughed at me and said "It sounds like you already are!"

2. Yeah, we're the insurgents fighting door to door...
And the media is bombarding us with LIES..As in a poster here ..Media_Lies_Daily!

As I and others have known and stated over the last years..the media is our Public Enemy # 1..What are we going to do about it?

I was watching c-span this morning and the NYT had an editorial that called bush's UN speech ..a lead balloon!..whereas the wsj had an editorial on Kerry's speech that didn't look too admiring..but from what I could tell they were lying their asses off about it..as usual.

Poor wjs..their not going to get their corrupt sic pres next time!

4. Pennsylvania will be a tough fight
I can see it in NE Pa. B/C is waging a hard campaign. Signs and bumper stickers sprouting everywhere.
The crux of their message is Kerry is an unpatriotic slime and B/C is "defending America".
Hang in there!

9. When canvassing, recruit whenever possible
I was the only volunteer in my precinct until I got out and met a few people who were already strong Kerry supporters, but had not volunteered. I spend the time to train any person who is willing. Soon we will be able to help in other precincts. The more we all recruit, the more we will succeed at the ground war: face to face contact is the key.
