Al Franken playing Bush U.N. speech with embarrassing gaps
Edited on Wed Sep-22-04 11:13 AM by gauguin57
(and, of course, funny noises from the delegates that Al's people have added -- delegates making fake fart noise under their armpits, sarcastic slow clapping, etc.).

It's showing how Bush was waiting for applause and didn't get it!

on AAR now

5. Of course...
...Bush is so lost in his own little dreamland that he thinks they are out of touch with him.

After all, God told him so. Right after God told him to support the Vietnam War but make sure he didn't ever have to fight in it, and right after God told him to snort the entire cocaine production of Bolivia and right after God told him to get his underage girlfriend an abortion.

It's not "My Pet Goat" he was reading, it's "My Pet God."

6. Have they tried to claim that it was "going through the translators"?
Never mind that many of the members of the UN probably speak and understand English better than W ever will . . .

7. How come the Secret Service didn't haul those disrespectful
protestors outta there? Rough em up a little on the way out too.

Don't those delegates know we're at war.

8. He and his speach writers are used to rigged audiences.
But they couldn't screen the UN to ensure only Bush/Cheney supporters would be present.

I'd say it should be a rude awakening for Team Bush, if I thought they gave a damn.
