Howie Kurtz to extend Reliable Sources to 1 hour this Sunday..
Just heard on CNN. He and Wolf were just talking about the "Memogate" scandal and how a-hole William Saffire had just written an op-ed piece that suggested a criminal investigation should be started on this because of possible illegalities in actually forging the docments, blah, blah ,blah. Kurtz's show on Sunday is always only a half hour long, but they are going to let him yammer on about this for an entire hour.

OK, here is my great white hope: I really hope that by Sunday the truth comes out that Roger Stone is the real, unequivocal culprit in this case, and that Howie will then have to spend his entire hour discussing how a Republican operative perpetrated all this. I also would love to see him have Saffire on as a special guest and let him go on and on about how Stone should be prosecuted.

Bwahaha... talk about poetic (or journalistic) justice. Wouldn't that be just grand?

1. Would they actually pursue an investigation into this
but ignore the info from forged documents that ended up in the SOTU?

3. No - they'll sit around and pretend to analyze the news coverage -
they'll pile on to CBS, trashing them for the memo story and then conclude that CNN, FOX, and the other networks coverage of the campaign in general and the Swift Boat liars/National Guard stories was dead on perfect.

That's the conclusion they ALWAYS reach after pretending to self-analyze.

4. Meanwhile . . .
. . . the national security investigations - Likudgate and Novakgate slowly amble on, purposefully mired in the bureacratic muck until after the election.

But we need this investigation right away.

Let's hope it is Stone. Funny how buckhead isn't talking.

5. Why? A half hour of
side stepping issues and kissing each other's backside isn't enough time, I guess.
