Rasmussen: Ohio 48% Bush 45% Kerry; NH 51% Kerry 45% Bush
Those who say Ohio is out of reach are wrong. The latest tracking poll out of Ohio shows a statistical dead heat. Meanwhile in NH, a state which went to Bush in '00, Kerry is leading by six, 51-45

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/

They also have Bush up by only one-point in Colorado, 46-45

13. Kerry in a good position
Kerry may be slightly behind Bush now, but this is not so bad as it may seem. For one thing, the Bush "bounce" from the convention is over. Second, Iraq is getting worse and worse. Third, in a close race, the challenger historically gets most of the undecided votes. Fourth, my gut tells me that Bush's support is weak and people don't know enough about Kerry to feel comfortable with him. When they see him in the debates I feel they will get more comfortable with Kerry. Kerry doesn't, in my view, have to "win" the debates on points. He has to, however, show that he is presidential and worthy of people's trust. Kerry will do that, and we will see a large Kerry "bounce" leading into the election. That's my take on it, anyway.

6. Rasmussen, as we all know, is conservative.
For a conservative poll to show a 3-point lead in Ohio is like saying the race is actually tied.

7. Mayor Koch has double crossed us: NY Kerry 49% Bush 45%
Unfriggin believable. Look at New York. This is impossible!!!! I know
that Koch has been campaigning for Bush. He and Zell, two old kooks, doing a lot of damage to us.

Puck Folls!

New York:
Kerry 49%

10. NY will not be Red
Other polls show the margin higher than that. This poll was done around the 9/11 commemoration and I wouldn't fret it. It will be double digits for Kerry.

14. The chances of NY being remotely close...
Edited on Mon Sep-20-04 03:50 PM by BlueNomad
are about zilch...I just finishing reading a special convention edition of New York Magazine --passed on to me by an AFP reporter---that showed some obscene number like 60% of New Yorker believe that Bush had something to do with 9-11...Bush can dream on...

16. What morons say Ohio is out of reach?
Probably the same dipshits who think we should give up in Arkansas. That state has been statistically tied for months. Both can easily be won if a real effort is made.

17. Sending a thank you shout-out specifically to RAVEN in NH
I know you've been working hard in the Granite State....thank you for your hard work! :-)

And thanks to others in the swing states working their tails off. This is encouraging.
