I shudder to think where our country may be headed....seriously.
There is so much confusion and deception that no one can think rationally. Bullshit has become our national policy. We will vote on fear or faith, and hope God saves our sorry asses. I wish I had the faith in George Bush that many of his followers have. I see him as a straw in the wind. He doesn't know where he is going to be blown to next. Where will our young men be dying? When will we go bankrupt? Where are the voices ringing loud in opposition? Where is the anger? Where is the outrage? Am I the only one that sees the cliff up ahead?

1. i tell repug hubby for the sake of marriages all across the nation
we need to vote bush out. why.............cause every damn thing the reugs put out we have to spend massive amounts of time to find the truth in them, ergo, slightly time and energy in marriage, and cooking, lol lol and cleaning, ect..........

18. You have a repug hubby, too?
My god, I thought I was the only one! The past 3+ years has been horrible, we almost split. I just can't believe he continues to give * the benefit of the doubt! Since July, we haven't discussed politics at all.

19. I have a repug hubby, too.
He lost his job 15 months ago and still believes the right wing radio hacks and gives *bush the benefit of the doubt.

I want to scream. I'd leave him if I could support myself financially, but the BFEE has made sure I can't get a decent job.

2. I know it sounds crazy, but more and more I'm convinced...
that Bush is the freakin antichrist.
If he wins or steals this election, I'll be sure of it.
I cannot recall a single instance of his administration uttering the truth.
EVERY thing they say is a lie, every thing they do is to further the neocon goal of world domination.....

If they require little chips to be implanted in us, its the antichrist. If he isn't, he'll do as well until the real one comes along.

7. Indescribably scary, but I've been thinking the same thing
If he is, it means the end o' the world is at hand, as we gear up for Armageddon, after which will be the Second Coming. I guess it's okay to get it over with, made better perhaps by the utter chaos and dismantling of our country that will occur if Bush remains in power. Would be nice if the part about the Rapture is true. My late Mama believed it with all her heart and soul. I used to, but lately am not too sure. Just can't believe how far we've fallen and how rapidly. I'm wondering if the rightwing Christians who see Bush as a "Man of Faith" will finally get it when he requires those implants. Guess we'll find out. Better yet:

BUSH MUST GO!!

3. Where is the outrage??
It sounds so simple minded and as obvious as the nose on anyone's face, but it really still does SHOCK me, that there IS no outrage over all the lies, misrepresentations and bullshit that has come out of this admin. They tried to ruin Bill Clinton's LIFE over a blue dress, and spent untold millions to do it, and no one bats an eyelash. This flapping asshat (Ill be KIND) misled Congress and the American people into an unnecessary WAR, and there is hardly a shudder throughout the country and the halls of justice.

I wont list every one of his missteps, there isnt enough SPACE here, but *IM* outraged at the lack of outrage.

4. I was talking to an elderly German couple yesterday
They immigrated here from Germany in the early 60's. In their opinion, what's going on here today is not all that much different than it was in the 5 years leading up to World War II.

8. Buying "the big lie"
Thanks for posting this. The same subject has been on my mind for the last week or so.

Bush and his surrogates have been pushing "the big lie" technique for weeks and a lot of good, middle-class, working men and women are buying it.

Why?

One reason seems to be because the "big lie" is wrapped in patriotic terms. When given the choice to be patriotic or unpatriotic guess which choice they make....

Even if the message is questionable, Mr & Mrs. Middle America are given two choices: Either the message (no matter how far-fetched) is true; or, the President and his party are the most audacious liars ever to walk the face of the earth. It's harder for most to believe that the President of the United States could be such a liar than it is to believe that the message is true, especially when the message includes references to the traitorous position of anybody who questions it.

Buying the "big lie" is easier than believing your president is a liar.

12. What really concerns me is that conscience and compassion
seem to be dead...or more accurately, too many Americans are dead to conscience and compassion.

Without a developed, active sense of conscience and compassion, it is pretty much a lost cause to expect that we'll overcome the power that Bush Co., has with its weapons of fear and selfishness.

13. I'm often faulted
for the time I spend on DU, being that my personal life is in such disarray. I ask my critics, "What would YOU have done had you had been aware of EXACTLY what Hitler was on about?" Yes, Karenina, BUT you MUST look after yourself! What about your website? "WHAT GOOD IS MY WEBSITE IF WE ALLOW THEM TO TAKE DOWN THE NET???" I have yet to find my personal balance point...   I'm SO SORRY.

However, I KNOW this *cabal and what they are capable of doing... I am a NOBODY whose only strength is in acting in concert with like-minded individuals. Butterfly wings flapping und so weiter und sofort...
