The Holbrooke Plan 4 Iraq - Bombard the Kerry campaign with this idea!

In canvassing when people ask about Iraq, I just tell them (to try it out) "Kerry is going to institute the Holbrooke Plan."

They look at me with surprise and I go on. "Remember Kosovo? Not one American life lost and we've won the peace there too, it's stable with pro-democracy governments. The guys who won that war are going to be put in charge of Iraq: Richard Holbrooke who negotiated the Balkans peace accords and Wesley Clark who ran the brilliant military campaign in Kosovo.

Using the Balkan success as a model, Kerry will no doubt appoint Richard Holbrooke as Secretary of State and then he will follow the Holbrooke Plan for peace in the area.

The voter then offered that Iraq is more difficult than the Balkans.

I replied "Granted, that is very true. But look how the planning and execution of the war succeeded in the Balkans so smoothly and we didn't lose one life! Compare that with Iraq and you will see that a Holbrooke-type approach to the mess over there is the best way to deal with it. Kerry will do that"

That was it! One undecided now for Kerry!

is "that's why it's important to get the Holbrooke plan underway as soon as possible!"

I've been trying to figure out how to compare/contrast the relative success in Kosovo (much maligned by the Republicans of course). This is a good straightforward way. "Using the Balkan success as a model..."
