Will Kerry Push the Debate Issue on Bush?
I haven't read or heard anything about this . . .

Anyway, can John Kerry basically use this debate issue against Bush? Should he say something like, "The president is running away. He's stalling. He's afraid. Etc." I can see Kerry throwing the ball to Bush and challening him--will he do it, though?

2. What's he AFRAID of? "Asceerd" to debate? Terrified of some
hecklers? Ran away on 911 day??? Why, nothing but a ... SCAREDY CAT!!!
Kerry ought to taunt him up one side and down t'other!

4. I Heard a Good One
This whole debate issue is red meat for the Kerry campaign. I hope they run with it.

I heard a veteran in Cincinnati say, "He chickened out during Vietnam, he chickened out on 9/11, and now he's chickening out on these debates!" Strong words from a guy who wore a shirt saying, "I used to be in the GOP!"

5. If he's still ducking the 'Town Hall' style debate

then Kerry should ask why Bush's unwilling to answer questions from the American people.

6. Absolutely
No question about it.

Make them defend their little Dauphine's cowardice. They know he cannot utter a sentence that is coherant.

Senator Kerry--you take up the banner and frame the issue. Don't let the little prick make the rules.

7. I'm so tired of
Kerry being forced to counter the republiturds.

We need a massive left arm of the democratic party to force several issues down the repuke's throats. Bushista's never have to force issues themselves because their vast workforce does it for them. We need something like that, only more honest.

11. yes, it does seem like so much hard work
Like swimming upstream-- I get tired too. A lot of times.

the key to it all seems to be the media, imo. But what will turn that around I do not know.

Very encouraging editorial in the Wash Post that has been posted here on DU. Bush's downfall will be his delusional fantasies, his bullying and his refusal to back down even if it means the killing of our troops for nothing. That is the crux of this election. His total disregard of human life in order to look tough but failing to look at reality and his total screw up in the war on Iraq--and Afganistan. He has stepped in it big time with all these fantasies and staged photo ops and it seems to me he is being called on it now.

I think Kerry does have the stamina to keep it up.

12. I certainly hope so.
If Bush refuses to debate at all, which I think he will, Kerry should make a HUGE issue out of it.
