Now even Republicans have taken to using the word "incompetent" to describe the Cheney administration's Iraq policy. We would have been better off if we had taken the lead on that, instead of being squeamish about criticizing Bush. But anyway, we are in good shape now, as long as we keep hammering that point.

Imagine if that had been the theme of our convention...
