1. Bu$h went from flying T-38s to the less advanced T-33s? Did he foul up

even in training? It would be in character.

P.S: Wasn't Bu$h back in two-seaters (i.e. with somebody to hold his hand, i.e. not fit to solo) before he left the TXANG for Alabama? Did he foul up again, then flee?

astronauts happened to drop by. The T-33 was our basic trainer and I forget the nomeclature but we had some F-102 2 seater trainers. You need to look at the timeline. The T-38 training was in flight school.

5. I was an avionics technician from
1970 to 75 with a period in the Del Air National Guard. I probably worked on nav gear in planes * flew. I have a real interest in *'s NG history because mine parallels his but without the influence he had to get in to get flight school and to just decide not to serve because it was inconvenient, damn right it was inconvenient.

BTW. The 187th flew RF-4Cs and I believe if he had applied himself he could've qualified- but thankfully he was following the 12 hour from bottle to throttle rule.

6. Neat! I have been reading about the F-102
I got the book by Wayne Mutza. So, did you work on the MG-10, the liquid nitrogen, the dual data link? What did you do?

I have the serial numbers of the 86 jets that passed through Ellington, if you want me to email them to you.

8. I'm especially wondering
Did the 111th have the IR supplies (liquid nitrogen, I am assuming) to use the FLIR technology and display? I guess the Pres. claimed once that he and his budy at the 111th volunteered for Palace Alert, so I am curious...

7. I give it an A for effort,
but the graphic is still a bit confusing for me, and I've studied Bush's NG history pretty extensively.

It seems like we should be able to clean it up a bit, and add some information, such as Bush's community service with PULL in Houston in Jan. 1973.
