This LTTE showed up in the (always disturbingly rightwing) Sunday Oregonian, and it reeks of Cheneyisms. It is possible that the author is sincere and original, but I suspect astroturfing. Has anyone else seen anything quite a bit like it showing up in local papers? It'd be great fun to catch the Oregonian hosting another BS Blastfest.

President Bush immediately committed to fighting and winning the war against terrorism. The Constitution designates as the most important priorities of government national security and the protection of citizens.
This is not a simple task, an ordinary war. Terrorists hide in caves, in holes and in darkness with hoods to hide their faces. They brutally slaughter, blow up and behead ordinary people, torture and murder little children. We cannot, will not, allow them to destroy our liberty, freedoms, country or civilization itself.
America is the only country with the strength, will and courage to fight and destroy terrorism. But it cannot be done without a strong leader.
This is not the time for a man who criticizes but doesn't offer solutions, one who will not define what he stands for or state clearly how he would deal with terrorism, except to say that he would consult with the United Nations and other countries to help make decisions for our national security.
We need a man with courage, unwavering commitment and tenacious belief in protecting our country and its people and who has done so for the past three years. George W. Bush, a proven leader, has kept us safe and taken the war to the terrorists. He is the right man at the right time.
