Cutter and Eskew on CNN with Kelly (last name escapes me).
Kelly is gonna get fired by CNN... she is actually giving Eskew a hard time.

Cutter, as usual is doing a good job. Straightforward, hard-hitting.

2. Kelly, Eschew, and Cutter
Cutter fumbled too many talking points. Didn't deliver the consistent, smooth, convincing, argument she needed to.

Eschew was much better, and sadly it showed.

As for Kelly, CNN, and the media - let's see if we can keep our eye on the ball. The more time we spend criticizing the media, the less time we can spend making our case against the mess our current leaders have gotten us into.

3. I watched a little of that.
Small, high pitched voices, chattering rapidly, give me a headache.

6. Eye on the ball
(Zidzi: I'm really just trying to make a point. Many apologies if I come across as abrasive.)

Although I don't disagree with your opinion of the media even a little, lets try to keep our eye on the ball.

What matters is that (yet again) a Kerry/Edwards rep was trumped by a Bush/Cheney one through better delivery and impressive talking points. We (because we are, of course, all in this together) failed to challenge him when he sidestepped valid questions. We failed to put an alternative message out there. We failed to sound like we knew what we were doing.

This is inexcusable. If our party "leadership" can't even control a message against this clown, what would we do against an opponent with an IQ?

CNN is where the few remaining "independents" and "moderates" go when they see that Fox has found a niche to the right (read: biased). CNN may not be good, but its what we have to work with. Like it or not, the media is a business. And as CNN has inched to the right, their ratings have gone up. Why? Because that's where the market is right now. Sadly, its a business, not reporting.

You want to change CNN? Change their market. Give them a liberal crowd large enough to pay the bills with. Give them a Democratic candidate they CAN'T NOT focus on. Better yet, let's return to a balance among the parties and give them a Democratic President!

Sure, we can blame the media. We can blame Rove. We can even blame the punch-cards. I'd rather use our time to create events. persuade voters, and set an agenda that they HAVE to report.

If the Republicans (who control our government almost entirely) continue to create the menu, I don't care who the restaurant critic is.

I just feel like blaming the media is failing to take responsibility for where we (and the Democratic leadership) are failing.

Thank you for the kind welcome.
