7. At least he didn't turn it into a campaign stop

That shot is from Florida. I saw a bit of his speech in Alabama-he mentioned "rural areas" thre times in about 2 minutes-he DID turn it into a campaign stop but then that is all he ever does.

4. looks like a warzone
unfortunately this is the closest george will ever get to one.

Oh and the people in Alabama have my sympathies

Recovering from that will take money (oopps it is in Iraq) and troops to keep the peace in teh short term and assit in disaster relief (in Iraq)

18. We had Frances a couple of weeks ago
and only had 60 mile per hour winds. I had no electric for 4 days. My yard looked like a warzone and everybody I know, including myself, lost at least one big tree. I don't want to see a Cat 3, no less a Cat 4.

10. (Kyoto)
And why isn't the fact of the U.S. rejection of the Kyoto protocol getting anymore attention than it is? The last I know it was the consensus of the scientific community that not only is global warming real, and strongly contributed to by human actions including carbon dioxide emissions, but also that one of the features of global warming is more and stronger storms. And this year we have Bonnie, and Charley, and Frances, and Ivan, and Jeanne, AND SCARCELY A PEEP ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING IN ALL THE COVERAGE.)

I guess this is typical of the Bushies and the media these days--the facts they don't like, or that would interfere with their view of reality--they ignore.
