Wilson rebuked by South Carolina Republican
Rep. Joe Wilson is receiving some tough love from one of his conservative colleagues in the South Carolina delegation.

On his Twitter feed, Rep. Bob Inglis (R-S.C.) said that he told his House GOP colleagues that Wilson should go to the House floor and apologize for exclaiming “you lie!” during President Obama’s health care speech last week.

“Part 1: Joe Wilson apologized to President. Part 2: He should apologize to House for rule violation. That would end the matter,” Inglis wrote.

“Joe Wilson analogy: I speed, lose control of my car and hit your car. Part 1: I fix your car. Part 2: I pay my speeding ticket. Case closed.”

Interestingly, Inglis’ public rebuke of Wilson could do as much damage to his own re-election prospects. Once one of the most conservative members of Congress, he’s moved to the center in recent years and is facing a serious primary challenge in 2010.

He’s already bucked his party on global warming and Iraq and he gained national attention in August, when Inglis told a town hall to "turn that television off" when popular conservative talk show host Glenn Beck is on.

1. I loved their take on it.
Instead of applauding a Republican for finally standing up like a statesman and doing the right thing, they start speculating on how this will damage him.

They just love to gin things up. Our media is a ongoing frat party.

2. The man actually has the mental acuity to understand this.
Must be painful to be a thinking person, in his party.

All they want now is lock-step ideologues, that only have to read the talking points and not think.
