Another question about Parlock photo...Why is sign is upside down?
Edited on Sat Sep-18-04 06:55 PM by Armstead

Maybe there's nothing to it, but notice that the sign that Parlock is clutching is upside down.

I'm trying to visualize what would happen if her sign was grabbed, and she still had a piece of it. Seems like she'd be clutching the remaining piece and it would still be right-side up.Why is he holding a little piece like that upside down?

Just wondering. Any logical explanations?

3. Republicans only weep for blond, blue eyed girls.
I promise you that a lot of Arab girls were mutilated, maimed and killed by our bombings of Iraq. A war fought entirely without foundation.

I don't condone ripping up the little princess' sign, but there are too many other children in the world suffering a whole lot more.

13. You are so right; I hadn't noticed before. I still have nothing but
sympathy for her and nothing but enmity for Daddy.

He should be in JAIL for child abuse.

6. Why would this guy bring his kid to a Kerry Rally.....
to Protest? This guy has no brains to bring his daughter to a rally to protest. I'm sure anyone who brought their kid to a Bush Rally to protest Bush would get roughed up by the people there.

8. What I don't understand
is why he left the child up on his shoulders, unprotected after the harassment allegedly started. When a child I love cries because he or she is afraid, I put my arms around that child. In this case, even more so as if his story is true, his child was in danger.

10. The signs are usually printed on both sides
So it was easy enough to grab a piece and that it would be upside down.

However, there are a couple of other problems with Parlock's story in regards to political signs.

First, most political signs are made out of polycoated cardboard. They are not easy to 'rip'. You have to cut them with a scissors or a razor. Even the ones that aren't coated do not rip and leave a perfect triangle from the middle, with perfectly straight edges. This guy cut up the signs before he got there.

Second, he claims to have stuff 9 of these signs up his pants leg. Most political signs that you see people holding measure 14" X 22", which is the industry standard. Try to take these signs and fold them up and put them up your pants. No way. Not unless you're wearing those baggy hip hop pants and even then you won't be able to walk very well.

Just more proof that Parlock staged this event and his story has more holes than Swiss cheese. Funny how he ended up with just the right piece of sign to make it recognizable as a Bush Cheney sign? Holding it upside down, might have just been an extra dash of flair to make the situation look more real.

11. Her older brother tore it up and gave her back a piece for the picture so
it would be clear who had the sign.

12. body language
why is it that the only person who appears to be wanting to "fight" the "evil dem" (in reality, parlock's older son) is the younger son with a staged clenched fist (but not really, look at the kid's left hand)?? if you were at a kerry rally & someone picked on a little girl, would you just stand there & look at the camera??? what "dad" would leave his kid on his shoulders while she's crying instead of decking or shoving the one who made her cry? & why is the evildoer just standing there like he's waiting for a bus instead of running away from witnesses & the camera??

the body language & facial expressions are all wrong. one woman appears to be yelling, but she's the only one. why didn't they interview HER?

and why didn't the photographer get the actual incident on film? where are the reports from the others who are in the photo?

things that make you go hmmmmm....
