The congressional polls show an overwhelming
lead for the Dems. Found it on polling report. What if Kerry loses and the Senate and Congress go to the Dems. Wouldn't it be justice to see Kerry as the Majority leader in the Senate if he loses, then he could start all sorts of investigations.

3. I think we need the House for that........

2. That would be so cool!
Of course, I would like to see him win but it would be sweet justice to see the congress and/or the Senate go Dem majority!

5. actually, I think those congre. polls are a good sign for Kerry
If the dems are leading in their races, this should bring out a good turnout of the faithful.

6. I think that this is possible.
There should be a huge turnout for the dems. This should help down the tickets.

8. Hopefully...
A good number of Democrats have indicated that they find that Bush's misrepresentation of intelligence to go to War in Iraq are definitely impeachable. If we lose the White House but pick up lead in the Senate and House, I expect a move for impeachment to some within the first two years.

9. I hate to tell you but no, they won't
recall Iran-Contra - not a prayer that the Dems, who controlled everything except the WH would even talk impeachment.

We're a forgiving group we are...can't ever go for the jugular. It took Dean and the CIA to get rid of Nixon...left to their own devices, the Dems would have made a deal. Actually, it was Lowell Weicker, a maverick Repub, who swayed the committee and gave immunity to Dean.

10. It's not going to happen
We can take the Senate - I'm actually betting on it.

But the House is so heavily gerrymandered that according to some statistical models it would take a 20-point Democratic lead nationwide in order to make the gains needed to take the House. We can only hope for incremental gains there, not takeover.

12. I didn't see what you were talking about on Polling Report,
However don't get excited about congressional polls showing a dead heat in Congress.

If polls show a generic congressional ballot is a dead heat, then because of all the gerrymandering you will probably see the GOP gain seats.

15. Sorry, aint gonna happen.
Between redistricting & Texas tricks, there are only approximately 30 competitive seats out of 435.

Polls on the House are useless; each race needs its own poll.

16. Even David Brooks admitted this on the News Hour
about a month or so ago. I just about fell on the floor when I heard him say that he thinks that both the House and the Senate are going to go to the Dem's.
