6. "Whatever it takes," to do what precisely?
If it is to stay the course under the guise of internationalizing the war, forget it!

If it is to get the Hell out as fast as we can load the troops on transport planes, I am all for it!

7. he should contrast his intention to get us out of there . . .
with Bush's intention to stay permanently . . . citing the construction of four permanent bases and the world's largest embassy, as well as Cheney's comment that we'll be there for 13 years . . . he needs to announce that because Bush has fucked up so badly, our only option is to get out, and not "within my first term" . . . Americans demand instant gratification, so anything over a year is meaningless . . .

8. Lame.
He's already accused of vagueness by the repubes, AND he's alienated the anti-war wing of his party. How do you think this will help?

9. I don't like
that at all. I think people rightly want to know--will we stay or bring the troops home? If you bring them home--then how soon? This answers no questions--it is just I have a secret plan trust me...If you already like him that is OK but if someone is trying to make up their mind, they need some MEAT on those bones.

10. The reason he can't say more is He has no idea how the house and senate
will look and he needs it to be with him. What he has said is he will regain the relationships with allies and they will send in troops as we start to pull some out. That way we can get the upper hand. We are there alone for the most part because Bush said either your with us or your with the terrorist. That pissed a lot of countries off so Kerry will have to mend fences. If we were not in this mess it would be easy to say what he would do. If you were stepping into a new job and they asked you how you would fix it but you didn't know enough about the mess it was in how would you answer?
Does that help? I try.
