Kitty Kelley says Pickles was a Dem & Anti-Vietnam War activist
who supported Eugene McCarthy in her younger days--as well as someone who experimented with drugs. I think I had heard about her once being a democrat but I didn't know she had opposed the war and supported McCarthy. Heard Kitty make these comments on C-Span a little bit ago.

What causes people to make such radical changes?

P.S.
If it is true that the Chimp was snorting coke at Camp David while Poppy was president (and I think it is), isn't this after his supposed being "Born Again"? Makes you wonder if he he actually gave up booze too.

2. Jesus wants you to get high.
He drank wine didn't he ?
This " born again" stuff only seems to matter if you practice it every day.
For "Born Again" i look to Jimmy Carter as an example and role model.

As for pickles, she was just drifting in what ever current she happened to be afloat in at the time. I just don't see her as a person of much understanding or conviction.

was a Goldwater Girl when she was young too. People change political persuasions as they age.

She ran her ex-boyfriend down in her car!!!! Jeez, what a coincidence that the random stranger she didn't notice and ran over was the guy who dumped her.

9. She didn't actually run him over.

She drove through an intersection and hit his car with hers. According to Kitty Kelley's book, he had never actually been her boyfriend. To be fair to Pickles, it sounds like it was an accident.
