Is Ohio being set up to be the Florida of 2004?
Registration Volunteers Under Investigation For Vote Fraud

<snip>
The paid volunteers would receive $1 to $2 for every registration card that they turned in, but the people under investigation are suspected of filling out the cards themselves with names of people who don't exist, so they could submit them for payment.
<snip>
Cuyahoga County Board of Elections director Michael Vu stressed that it is individual paid volunteers that are being investigated, not the groups that hired them.

"It's individuals that may be taking what is supposed to be a civic duty and taking advantage of what voter registration organizations are trying to do for the citizens of Cuyahoga County," said Vu.
<snip>

What I fear happening here is that because this is a story now, many people will be turned away at the polls. And then the whole state will be at issue.
I don't know anyone getting paid to register people, most of those I know are volunteers.

1. ACT (Americans Coming Together) are "paid volunteers"
They're also the ones that generated the hysteria about hiring "felons" to do door-to-door voter registration.

My guess is the percentage of felons in that group was lower than in the current administration.

3. I think Florida will be the Florida of 2000
I have a bad feeling as to what is going to happen there in the days leading up to the election....and on Election Day itself.

4. Sorry, I forgot the link to the story!
It does not indicate who the people being investigated work for.

5. I guess
That the cards filled out by voters such as Don Keyface, I.P. Freely, Amanda Hugankiss, and Phil McCracken attracted too much attention.

I'll come up with better names next time.
