4. I suspect..
around 25 million. Mostly partisans will watch. But I suspect that the polls won't move much in either direction as a result of those debates.

5. Superbowl got almost triple the viewers of the debates in 2000.
Edited on Sat Sep-18-04 05:28 PM by tjdee
edit: in terms of each debate.

The highest viewed debate, the first one, got about 46 million viewers.

About 130 million watched the SuperBowl the same year.

Pathetic.

6. It would be fun for a coordinated server attack...
on FR, but then again they'll have other things to worry about.

*JUST KIDDING about a malicious attack on a website. I would not take part in (or condone) such an act.

8. Two of them will be after you can't even register in NJ.
Ran into this problem in 2000, a friend of my sister was so horrified by Bush's stupidity that he was motivated to vote for the first time... but it was after the registration deadline.

This system blows.

But, anyway, the first debate is supposed to be on Sept. 30, or whenever Great King Bush says they'll have one.

9. The first one is supposed be sept. 30th but that catch
and you knew there would be one is...Bush hasn't agreed to any debates at all. All you hear is that he doesn't wont the third one, truth is imo, he doesn't want any of them. But of course you already know that as well.

10. It will depend
if the debates are televised at the same time as a baseball game, an episode of Survivor or and episode of Everybody Loves Raymond.

Honestly, we live in the most politically unaware and unmotivated to learn country on this planet.

Why watch debates when you can get your politics from 30 second soundbite ads?
