then, everytime the Repubs come out with one of their manipulated polls, the Democrats could respond with an opposing viewpoint. Competition is needed. Just pay them a good salary from Party funds and have them operate in you interest. Is that so difficult to do? It seems to be what the Repubs are doing - just like they are paying CNN to run their ads...if they get favorable coverage? I'm certain it is going on. Democrats need more of their own pollsters. We should pay them well. The whole purpose of polls at this time of the campaign is for propaganda purposes. They will all close at the end to preserve their credibility for the next election. Wanna bet?

1. Our goal should be to have accurate polls

I don't particularly like the bent of this recurring theme on DU. The answer to their biased media is not to create our own, but to work for objective media. At least that's the way I see it. The way some talk here, the solution to all our problems is to simply become the Republicans in all but name--their tactics work for their politics. We do not have the support of the elite and corporate power, therefore we can't simply copy all their tactics and hope to win.

2. We need our own media outlets

Most of these pollsters are buying the info from someone like Rasmussen and then "reinterpreting" it by monkeying around with the percentage of Dems vs RepuKKKes.

Once we get our own media outlets then we can make bogus polls.
