11. it makes me mad they
even investigated. Everyone in American should have known from the DNC on that Kerry earned his medals. But instead we have spent months defending something that never should have been questioned and now it is a big win when they admit what we knew all along? I am not very happy over the whole situation.

12. I feel they did it to vindicate Kerry.
The Navy knew that Kerry's medals were legit. This investigation puts it to rest for Kerry. Now the freepers have to claim that the US Navy is lying now. i think the Navy did this to shut the swift boat liars the hell up.
Now why doesn't the National Guard investigate Bush?

13. Given the exposure that the smear vets got...
this is really the best thing that could happen in the end.

I understand, I don't think they should have been investigated either, on a simple basis of honor, but since all the lies and mud had been thrown, it's a good outcome for the Navy to be able to say that they have been investigated and were properly awarded.
