Rush Limbaugh Becomes Official Unpaid Advisor to Bush-Cheney '04
Rush Limbaugh Becomes Official Unpaid Advisor to Bush-Cheney '04

I made an official announcement to open the program today. I have become, and have been for a while, an official, unpaid advisor to the Bush-Cheney '04 campaign, and we decided to go public with this because there's no problem with it whatsoever.
There was thought about my stepping down from the Golden EIB Microphone two or three days a week on the days that I was giving advice, but we decided not to do that. There's no conflict here. There's absolutely no conflict whatsoever. The line has been successfully
blurring now for years and years and years.

I will not be giving up my precious seat behind the Golden EIB Microphone. I will continue to serve both functions with credibility on both sides, an official unpaid advisor to the Bush-Cheney reelection campaign '04, as well as your host here on the EIB Network.

7. Bush hires a liar.
That won't help him, will it? Is Rush that much better at lying than Rove or Bush is?

19. Sometimes when they try to be funny they let slip some truth
Notice the part in bold text about the successful transformation of the media. That IMHO was an unintended slip of the tongue. He is quite correct in that politics has successfully overtaken and blended itself with the media, but the arrogance to gloat about it is typical of Rush.

21. It's called scoping out the competition
A smart coach finds out what the other side is up to. Early this week, Rush said he was 'an unpaid advisor to the Bush campaign'. In the next few minutes he said "Let's see how many outlets in the mainstream media run with this". Today he was laughing about it.

12. You guys know this is a joke, right?
He's playing off the fact that Begalla and Carville are "Unpaid, Unoffical campaign advisers" for Senator Kerry while still working at CNN.

Check this part...

"and we decided to go public with this because there's no problem with it whatsoever."

...That should have been your tip-off.

Please don't give this idiot any more airtime than he already has (And uses to rip-off his brain-dead listeners).

15. Why is it that we need to distance ourselves from Michael Moore, but the
Republicans cozy up to RUSH, who is a LIAR, and has said outrageous things every day, and who is a hatemonger, and the Media says nothing.

We need to hammer at RUSH and the administration for cozying up to him. Find some of his most hateful statements and let BUSH and his gang defend themselves.
