USAbroad.org Endorses John Kerry
USAbroad.org Endorses John Kerry

We endorse John Kerry for President. Kerry will make the U.S. more secure than the incumbent, better protect our freedoms, make us richer, improve our environment, and build stronger alliances.

John Kerry will complete our campaign against Al Qaeda -- a job George Bush has left half-done -- and bolster homeland defenses ignored in the rush to war in Iraq. He will bring the experience of a soldier who has risked his life for us to a job presently filled by one who stayed at home while others foughy

Kerry will protect the women of this country from being forced to bear children they do not want, allow our scientists to search for cures for terrible diseases rather than being restricted by the personal religious prejudices of the President, and ensure that public funds are spent for the benefit of all rather than the promotion of a specific religious faith. He will not work against marriage like Bush, but promote it by allowing everyone to enjoy this blessing.

John Kerry will bring a proven record of Democratic success to our economy. Since 1901 the Dow Jones industrial average has returned an average 9.1 percent per year under Democratic Presidents but just 6.4 percent per year under Republicans. We have lost more jobs under Bush than under any leader since the Depression -- including many who surmounted disruptions more extreme than 9-11. The typical family saw its inflation-adjusted income decline by $1,511 from 2000 to 2003. Life expectancy in this country is now lower than in France. Kerry and his party offer trustworthy tax and spending plans while Bush and his cohorts present a record of decline and the promise of years of deficits.
