New MoveOn TV ad attacks Bush on the war.
Just saw it on CNN. Haven't seen it before. Shows a solitary soldier in battle gear on an open field looking for some sign of where to go, getting mired in quick sand. As he sinks, the voice over is indicting Bush on the unilateral attack, the $150 billion that should go to things we need at home, the phoney declaration of victory, the 1,000 dead GIs. It concludes with something like:
"George Bush got us into this war. It will take a new president to get us out."

Very low key, but effective.

2. Both the MoveOn and DNC ads are becoming increasingly effective!!!
They are becoming more direct and assertive, and demonstrating greater clarity.

Very inspiring and exciting stuff!!!

3. The rw has been throwing up flack about this one
saying that it portrays our brave solders as failures in a time of war and so on. I think that Moveon is telling it like it is.

On edit: This must be the "defeated soldier" ad that Bob Dole has asked Kerry to ask MoveOn to stop running (DU thread). I thought he was talking about the "Mission Not Accomplished" ad, where you see what looks like soldier's corpses and is actually from the DNC.

I meant the DNC's "Guard" ad, not "Mission Not Accomplished."
