Someone should report Parlock to the local child endangerment people; that'd get his government-hating BVDs in a twist.

This isn't Maherian "fake outrage" on my part; this is for real: I've got two small children. A parent is supposed to protect children of this age from scary, dangerous and depressing things, yet this guy does the exact opposite. It's heinous enough to take your child to a riotous place, but it's much worse to take your child to a place where you intend to create a dangerous disturbance.

You don't hide behind small children to make your point and hope that by using a vulnerable creature, nobody will confront you. More importantly, you don't expose your child to a situation where she'll be facing rage and anger. That's beyond abusive, and if one is even thinking about the child at all, the only reason one could be doing it is to get her to be terrified by people who disagree with you, or to teach her to be a hater at an early age.

For shame.

What kind of a sick fuck would do something like this to a little girl?

With his repeated habit of going to his opponents' gatherings to attempt to incite violence shows him to have a righteous victim complex worthy of a Mel Gibson movie. Shout this lout down. He knew full well what he was doing, and it's disgusting.

Having a child is a solemn duty to put it first; this guy has taken Republican selfishness to a revolting apex of ugliness. What did he want, for someone to hit her?

Sick, sick and ugly. This should be thrown in the face of anyone claiming that "we" were wrong in this situation.

1. GOOP Modus Operendi...Children Make Good Pics...
Look at how many photo ops you see of assholiness picking up and kissing babies (I know...schmaltz galore)...where you rarely see that image of Kerry.

Also, the GOOP is not against exploiting children...like Elian Gonzalez!

2. Look at his little boy to his left in the photo...
He has his fist clenched and is in full-throttle fight-or-flight mode.

That kid is going to have anxiety problems, thanks to his father. It is indeed sad and I would consider it child abuse.

4. That's exactly what I took away from this story.
He's done it before. I compiled the stories and pics on my blog today, and I came to the same conclusion as you.

He should definitely be investigated for child endangerment.

8. Chill, it gets like that around here
It's a bit anti-social on my part to start another thread, and as an old-timer here, I know full-well my guilt on the subject. I also know the dynamics of this crap, and felt that a concise, shrill and combative response to this nasty stunt should be brought forth, and as the subject of a thread, it'll get the most notice. Also, this distillation of it hadn't been made, and I just wanted to get that out.

I share your ire, so don't get too addled about it all.

These are going to be rough times for the rest of the year, regardless of what happens.

If that sounds patronizing, it wasn't meant to be; should that not salve the wound, then I'll happily allow you to kiss my signet ring out of fealty, and we can call it square.

I just can't stand shitty parents...

6. I was taken in, I admit it.
But this guy may be faking stunts with guns now. He shouldn't be around kids.

10. Yes, I'm aware I didn't invent the wheel
and I don't mean to step on your toes. I was just distilling it in a different way, and am working on a nasty schedule right now, so I haven't been reading as much as I should have before posting.

I was going for more of a deliberate approach than a reactive one; yes, he should have been comforting her, but to bring her there when he's intending to cause a ruckus is much worse, and I wanted that in a succinct and combative phrase.

Sorry if I offended.
